Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)

Albrighton Parish Council uses Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems in public spaces, within car parks and at several Council owned sites. The purpose of our CCTV is to help with reducing and detecting crime and anti-social behaviour, as well as ensuring the health and safety of the public and its staff.

Requests for CCTV footage in the first instance must be reported to the Police and a Police Reference Number obtained, or in instances where an Insurance Claim has been made. All requests for CCTV footage must be put in writing to Albrighton Parish Council, clearly stating the reason for requesting the CCTV Footage.

For more information and guidance on Albrighton Parish Council’s CCTV, please refer to the CCTV Policy document at the bottom of this page.

Information and guidance of video surveillance can be found on the ICO website: Video surveillance (including guidance for organisations using CCTV) | ICO
