Albrighton Library

The Parish Council took over the management of the library and the building in 2016, this decision was made due to the redesign of their services made by Shropshire Council. The Parish Council was approached by Shropshire Council and held discussions regarding the proposed closure by Shropshire Council of the Library and its services in Albrighton.

At this time the Parish Council made the decision to run Albrighton Library as a commissioned branch of Shropshire Libraries and is now managed by Albrighton Parish Council with 3 members of staff and a small number of volunteers.

The library is located on Station Road, Albrighton, and has a number of services available to the community and its users.

We have a dedicated Children and Young Adult Library that children and young people can use to relax and peruse the books, as well as complete homework using a range of non-fiction materials available. The children’s section is inviting to all ages and provides a safe environment to visit. Please note that young children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
