Cotswold Drive Bench Update

Cotswold Drive Bench Update

Albrighton Parish Council are keen to highlight the fantastic work Parish Council staff do for and behalf of the community. We would like to highlight the recent work conducted by our Village Warden, Kev, on the Cotswold Drive Bench.

The original bench situated on the grass verge was unfortunately unsuitable and unrepairable following a safety inspection, it was therefore cordoned off in the interim between replacement. The Parish Council try to repair and repurpose items where possible, therefore an additional bench was used from the Library garden. Rest assured, we still have 4 benches in the Library garden, so we aren’t going without by replacing the Cotswold Drive bench!  Kev has done a fantastic job at sanding, painting and treating the wood to bring the bench back to life, before installing and securing the bench into the ground using metal poles for sturdiness.

We hope residents will appreciate the ‘new’ bench which is now fit for purpose and ready to be used!

Our thanks go to Kev for his hard work and commitment and we hope you will join us in thanking him!
