Announcing the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Albrighton Parish Council for 2024/25

At the Annual Council Meeting of Albrighton Parish Council on 9th May 2024, Councillor Colin Noakes was voted as Chairman for Albrighton Parish Council for 2024/25 by his fellow Councillors. Councillor David Meyrick was voted as Vice-Chairman for 2024/25.

Priority Questionnaire 2024

Albrighton Parish Council have put together a Priority Questionnaire to help establish its priorities for funding and action where it is so empowered and financed.

Councillors will be delivering copies to households over the coming month, but we also have an online version available to complete.

This questionnaire is open to all residents, traders and other members of the community.

Annual Parish Meeting

ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

The Annual Parish Meeting will be taking place on Thursday 25th April at 7.00pm in the Red House, High Street, Albrighton WV7 3LU.

Chairman Councillor Adrian Robinson will deliver a report for the Parish Council for the municipal year 2023/24

The Parish Clerk, Joanne Oliver, will deliver a Financial Report for the Parish Council for the municipal year 2023/24

Shropshire Councillor, Councillor Nigel Lumby will deliver a report on Shropshire Council and the Boundary Review

Albrighton Parish Council has invited John Stretton from the Albrighton & District Historical Society and Andy Gilson from the Footpaths Group as Guest Speakers at the meeting
Please note this is not a meeting of the Council but a Parish Meeting hosted by Albrighton Parish Council

Council Office Closure Dates: Closed Friday 29th March and Monday 1st April 2024
Library Closure dates: Closed Friday 29th March, Saturday 30th March and Monday 1st April 2024.

Albrighton Parish Council will be celebrating 130 years of forming a Parish Council. The Local Government Act 1894 introduced elected councils at a District and Parish Level, with Albrighton being one of the first to form a Parish Council
We want to honour this at Albrighton Parish Council and Library by celebrating past and present Councillors

Thank you to all involved for the Christmas Light Switch On Event!

A fantastic turn out for last night’s Christmas Switch On and gift fayre filled with festive joy!
We would like to thank the RAF Cosford Station Commander and Warrant Officer, all volunteers at the Red House, Parish Councillors and staff, Shifnal and Albrighton Safer Neighbourhood Team and all members of the community for joining us last night!
For those of you who couldn’t join us last night, we hope you will still enjoy the Christmas lights which will now be on in the evenings
